Save the date for Feb. 11 at the South Lake Writing Center, starting at 1:00 p.m. for a Valentine’s Day event!

With Valentine’s Day soon approaching once more, the holiday season can mean different things for different people. With it arrives the harbinger of overpriced chocolates, cheesy rom-coms, and love in the air over the coming weeks. However, love comes in lots of different forms, with stories on friendship over romance proving especially popular among many today. Someone does not have to be romantically involved with someone to express their love and show a token of appreciation for them this Valentine’s Day.
The event will occur at the South Lake Writing Center, which is located on the second floor of the Cooper Memorial Library in Room 202. Students are invited to stop by for a chill atmosphere, fun, and some tips on how to express their appreciation through the medium of writing for their loved ones. They can create valentines for those who matter most in their lives, such as their family, friends, mentors, and pets. All supplies will be provided for students at the event.
